Rebecca Armstrong, LCHMCA
Whether you’re carrying old wounds, feeling stuck, or just needing some tools and space to breathe again, my goal is to offer a warm, safe, judgement-free space where you can talk about the things you’ve held in or didn’t even realize were weighing on you. And because kids often communicate best through play and creativity, I bring those elements into my work with younger clients so they can feel safe and understood too. I want you to feel supported, seen, and encouraged as you find your way back to the parts of yourself that make you shine.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who specializes in working with children, teens, and adults. I am passionate about helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and addiction.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years as an educator, which gave me a deep understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young people and families. I hold a BA in Psychology from Meredith College and a MS in Counselor Education from East Carolina University and I bring a strong foundation in both education and mental health to my work with clients.
My approach to therapy is compassionate and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based methods including person-centered, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and narrative therapies to support each client’s unique goals and needs.
Healing happens in a safe and supportive space, and I aim to create that for every person I work with. Whether you're facing a specific struggle or seeking personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey.
