Raleigh Psychology offers two main types of assessments: Comprehensive and Streamlined. Our Comprehensive Assessments evaluate overall cognitive and personality functioning and explore a variety of diagnostic possibilities, including Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, PTSD, and Learning Disabilities. Our two Streamlined Options are the Streamlined ADHD and Streamlined Autism Assessments. These focus specifically on evaluating clients for ADHD or Autism. All assessment types involve an in-person testing session, a feedback session, and a report of client results as well as recommendations and resources. Both assessment types offer quality evaluations; the goal of the streamlined assessments is to offer a potentially more cost effective evaluation on a condensed timeline for those to whom it would be beneficial.

Comprehensive assessments vary greatly in cost as the referral concern may require varying amounts of testing, analysis, consultation, etc. but we do our best to be efficient and transparent ($1500 to $3750 is an aprox. range)
How do I know what’s right for me?
Our scheduling and testing team are happy to answer any questions you may have and provide direction as you consider the assessment process. Below are some potentially helpful questions to consider when selecting an assessment path:

The Streamlined options are both shorter in terms of testing time as well as time to receive results; the Comprehensive option takes longer for both assessment and completion.

The Streamlined options provide condensed results, which may not be acceptable for being granted accommodations for certain entities (e.g., MCAT or SAT accommodations; grant applications).

If you are interested in being assessed for ADHD or Autism in a shorter testing process at a lesser cost, then one of our Streamlined Assessments might be right for you! If you are interested in tailored assessments for multiple/additional assessment questions, our Comprehensive Assessment option includes an in-depth clinical interview and might be what you are looking for!
