Insurance
We are happy to report that insurance often reimburses psychological testing similarly to therapy services. Testing must be medically necessary in order to be covered, which can be determined and communicated within the intake appointment.
We are in network providers with most Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans! Some out of state Anthem or BCBS plans will ask for a prior authorization before testing can be reimbursed. Your psychologist can provide a superbill at the end of the assessment process to help you seek out of network reimbursement with your insurance provider.
fees
Psychological assessments vary greatly in cost, as the presenting referral concern may require varying amounts of testing, analysis, consultation, etc. We do our best to maintain a high level of efficiency and to communicate transparently throughout the assessment process. We also offer an option to participate in a streamlined assessment, where the assessment report includes all of the relevant quantitative data and brief qualitative summaries. This procedure is discounted by 30 percent and may be a great option, depending on the purpose that the assessment serves.
