Nathaniel Mullins, LCMHCA and ADHD Coach

Maybe you feel overlooked and long to be seen. Maybe you feel buried by unwanted experiences and ache to grow out of what has happened to you. Whether you feel like you have some things together or whether it feels like all the wheels on your bus have fallen off, I am interested in meeting you there and moving with you towards where and who you want to be. I am honored to work with people across the lifespan in the process of discovering or recovering the gift of being themselves.

I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte. Grounded in a person-centered and attachment-based approach, I draw from a range of models to best serve the client(s) in the room. I am able to integrate faith and spirituality upon request. In my work with children, I draw from Child-Centered Play Therapy to support their socioemotional and behavioral growth; I also delight in walking families towards more resilient relationships through the surprisingly meaningful connections that play brings. I bring training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to my work with couples, families, and individuals, helping to foster secure connections. I have also lived and worked as a mental health professional in Thailand, so have an appreciation for the beauty and complexity of living cross-culturally – for individual adults, couples, families, and Third Culture Kids (TCKs).

In my coaching work with individuals seeking help for ADHD or Autism, I bring a neuroscience-informed and developmentally attuned approach to improve executive functioning skills, promote adaptive coping, increase interpersonal effectiveness, develop sensory awareness and regulation skills, and balance life with work or school responsibilities to reduce burnout. I'm aware that every person and circumstance is unique and regularly consider how to collaborate with others to provide tailored support.

With all my clients, I have a deep trust in the transformative power of being known, of sharing one's story in a relationally safe and genuinely empathetic environment. With an eye to developmental needs and whole life context, I seek to collaborate with my clients as they process their lives so that they and their loved ones can thrive. I look forward to connecting with you!
