Kayla Kendrick, MFT-I
Every person carries a meaningful story, and when life feels confusing or heavy, counseling can provide a safe, caring space to explore that story with curiosity, compassion, and hope. My desire is to offer support where you feel understood, strengthened, and genuinely heard.
I am a counseling intern working toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and am pursuing my M.A. in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I enjoy partnering with clients through a collaborative, relational approach, walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges. My clinical work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I am excited to continue learning new approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. I also offer faith-based counseling upon request.
I love to work with teens and adults individually and in their relational contexts. Common areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relational concerns.
When not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our families, and our two tortoiseshell cats. I also love baking, painting, learning new board games, and visiting new coffee shops.
It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they explore their story, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward growth and healing. Wherever you are in your story, you don’t have to face it alone. I look forward to meeting you!
