Gabby Schmidt, LCHMC-I

Life can feel chaotic with all its ups and downs, and you don't have to walk the journey alone. You may be navigating a life transition, depression, anxiety, or neurodivergence — or maybe you simply want a deeper understanding of yourself. Whatever you're carrying, you deserve a space that welcomes you wholeheartedly. With a foundation of warmth, curiosity, and respect, I aim to create an environment where you can show up as your most authentic self.

I'm Gabby, a counseling intern at Raleigh Psychology. I earned my B.S. in Exercise Science from UNC Wilmington and a graduate certificate in Counselor Education from NC State. I'm currently completing my M.S. in Clinical Counseling at East Carolina University. I consider it a privilege to create a therapeutic space that integrates evidence-based practices, empathy, and empowerment.

My approach is integrative and person-centered, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also draw from DBT, solution-focused, and family systems techniques, along with play therapy, to fit what each client needs. My goal is to equip you with practical tools and insight you can carry with you long after our sessions end. I work with children, teens, and adults, meeting each person where they are. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in this season of life.
