$50.00

Friday, July 31; 9:00am-11:00am

North Raleigh Office or Virtual

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming healthcare, and mental health professionals are increasingly encountering AI-powered tools designed to support clinical documentation. But how can clinicians leverage these technologies while maintaining ethical standards, protecting client confidentiality, and meeting professional obligations?

Join Cameron Cobb DNP, FNP-B, and Amy Rauch, PsyD, to learn more about the ethical use of AI-assisted note writing!

In this program, participants will review examples of AI-assisted note writing, discuss implementation strategies and safeguards, and examine emerging guidance from professional organizations and licensing boards regarding the ethical use of artificial intelligence in behavioral healthcare.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify appropriate uses of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in clinical documentation and evaluate strategies for integrating AI-assisted documentation into clinical workflows responsibly and effectively.

  2. Describe best practices for protecting confidentiality and maintaining clinical integrity while recognizing common risks, limitations, and ethical considerations associated with AI-assisted documentation.

  3. Describe ethical principles and emerging professional guidance related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in behavioral healthcare, including considerations involving confidentiality, competence, accountability, and professional responsibility.

  4. Apply ethical decision-making frameworks to evaluate and address clinical, legal, and professional issues that may arise when incorporating AI-assisted tools into behavioral health practice.
